TESTIMONIALS

Jonathon is one of the most invested teachers I have ever seen.  My daughter has been with him for the past 6 years.  His compassion and investment in not only her, but also every kid he sees is unmatched.  Jonathan understands that not all kids are built the same and is able to find their strengths and weaknesses and build them into the best pitcher they can be.  He is proactive in staying ahead in his art, always researching and making connections with others in the field to in order to develop his students into elite pitchers.  His background in aeronautical engineering allows him to talk with his students about what they need to do with their bodies to make a pitch perform.

We attended a Tincher pitching summit a few years ago and an instructor stated whoever wanted to learn how to throw a rise ball to see Jonathan.  Over half the students there went to him.  Shows that his reputation precedes him!

Jonathan takes the time to get to know and understand each of his students.  He works on the whole athlete both physically and mentally.  I would challenge anyone to find a better person or instructor in the country.

At a very young age, our daughter was diagnosed with Congenital radioulnar synostosis, a rare condition where the radius and ulna are fused together below the elbow, in both arms. In layman’s terms, she cannot do the palms up motion and has some restricted wrist motion. The pitching technique we knew would’ve been hard, or as we were told by many pitching instructors, not possible. But she wanted to pitch, and we weren’t going to let anything hold her back, and neither was she. After a couple failed attempts in finding a pitching instructor that would see past her diagnosis, we were introduced to the Tincher pitching technique. EVERY single motion, technique and idea was a perfect fit for our daughter. We couldn’t believe it but knew we had to start. We began lessons in August of 2019 and have saw tremendous progress each lesson. April has believed in our daughter, instilling confidence in her ability to overcome and push through. She immediately contacted other instructors and an occupational therapist to gather information on the diagnosis so she could offer the best instruction to our daughter. She has been supportive and encouraging but challenges our daughter to strive harder and want more. We are excited to see what the future holds for our daughter on the mound paired with Tincher pitching.

I’ve been working with Denny since I was about 13 years old. He has always been there for me through the ups and downs of my career and has always led me back to good mechanics! Now that I’m out on my own as a professional, Denny has helped me back on the path of reaching my highest potential while prioritizing optimal and healthy mechanics. I still love working on new pitches and things with him every time I see him! I feel like this is only just the beginning, I can’t wait to see where I can end up with him helping me! I am so thankful for all the years and time he’s spent with me.

A year ago, our daughter’s pitching coach relocated and we were in need of a new instructor. I had always been interested in Tincher Pitching “Fluid Dynamics” but most instructors were several hours away. I found out that Abby Tincher Davis had moved closer to us and we were thrilled for the opportunity. Denny and Abby both went above and beyond to answer questions by email and phone as we decided to make the transition. While there were some bumps in the road in the beginning,  after a few months and a clinic with Denny, our daughter was all in on Tincher Pitching. One big difference was finally understanding why she was doing certain movements and not just being told and shown what to do. Now a year later we couldn’t be happier with our decision. Her velocity, accuracy and movement all increased while her pitch is so smooth and looks effortless. We have always used the phrase with our daughter “dream one size too big” but with Abby and Denny they take her big dream then develop a plan to push her past her goals. I highly recommend Tincher Fluid Dynamics and would recommend going to a clinic to see the difference for yourself.
