Zach is a father of 7 children, 4 girls and 3 boys. He discovered his passion for the game like most coaching his daughters and other young ladies through rec, travel ball, and High school ball. At a young age his daughter was learning to pitch and before he knew it, the art of pitching had consumed him. His oldest daughter had her challenges learning and it caused him to dig deep studying and researching, losing sleep over finding ways to help. He quickly found that every pitcher, situation, personality were quite unique and there was no “easy button” or cookie cutter answer that was right for every single young lady. With his background in engineering and research and development, he put his skill set to use and started to help other girls that were struggling. The goal was to give these young ladies confidence to keep pushing, and a coach that would fight with them. He quickly found himself in a position to help pitchers of all ages and all skill levels.
He truly has a passion to continue to learn and improve his knowledge and skill set to help each young lady achieve their goals.
We asked Zach why he chose to join Tincher Pitching. He said that It didn’t take long for him to realize that everyone in this group had the same passion as he does. “It’s 100% about these girls getting where they want to go. The selflessness of the coaches in the group is second to none. I quickly discovered that these coaches lost just as much sleep and spent just as much time as I did trying to help each individual student find “their system.” It’s not something you can put on an app on a phone and tell them to follow. It takes hard work, collaboration, dedication, commitment and conversations to find the perfect system for each athlete. And it takes a group of likeminded coaches to help shape a system like that. That’s the type of community I wanted to be a part of.”
