Growing up in Kirkland, WA, Tori played competitive travel ball and was recruited to play college softball. She spent two years at Boise State University before transferring to Northwest Nazarene University in 2019. During her six-year college career, Tori was part of four conference championships, earned All-Conference honors, and made the All-Region team in 2023.
Tori completed her Master’s in Business Administration and, alongside her husband Connor, opened her own softball facility, Hensley Sports Performance, in Nampa, Idaho. She has been giving pitching lessons for five years, striving to help her students become elite both on and off the field. Additionally, she is coaching Northwest Nazarene University’s pitching staff for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Tori takes great pride in her ability to connect with her students, offering personalized instruction that caters to their unique strengths and areas for improvement. She believes in fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere where athletes can thrive and build their confidence.
Since joining the Tincher Pitching network, Tori’s approach to pitching has become much more straightforward.
In addition to her work in softball, Tori is also a member of the Boise-based rock band, Town of Trees, where she channels her creativity and passion for music.
Here is what Tori has to say about Tincher Pitching:
“It is easy as a coach to think you know everything you need to know. Tincher Pitching challenges that mentality and has encouraged me to continue to be a student of the game. Attending the Tincher camp has enabled me to teach pitching in a way that addresses root causes rather than symptoms. It has taught me to help pitchers focus on the feeling and fluidity of pitching as a whole, rather than favoring a certain way of doing things. I highly recommend this certification to anyone interested in increasing their pitching knowledge and anyone who wants to enhance their ability to teach effectively.”
Here is what Denny says about Tori.
“I have never seen an Instructor as enthusiastic about learning. Every time we talked, she was excited about the things we would learn that day. Watching her with students, she lights up the room. We are honored to have her in the group.”
Tori serves in the Nampa, Idaho region.
