Blake was a stand-out player in high school and went on to play two years at
Hudson Valley CC as a pitcher/first baseman, where she earned MVP honors.
She finished her playing career at SUNY Oneonta helping the team win the
SUNYAC championship her senior year. She was also a member of the SUNYAC
All-Academic team.

Currently, Blake is a 5th grade teacher at Hoosic Valley Elementary
school in Schaghticoke, NY. She has been the Varsity Softball coach since
2009. In 2015, she coached her team to the New York State Final 4 in Class C
and was named NYS Co-Coach of the Year in Class C. In addition, Blake works
with the HVAA youth program that supports softball players in her community.

Here is what Blake says about our organization: I was first introduced to Tincher Pitching by Jen Mineau (a former HS player) at one of her pitching clinics. After listening to Jen coach and seeing the girls respond, I knew this was something special. This approach, focusing on the female body, made sense and the girls responded so well to it! They all understood what Jen was teaching them and WHY they were doing it.

 Having a daughter who is starting to play softball, I want to teach her what’s best in order for her to perform her best and without the risk of injury. I am constantly learning from other coaches in order to make myself a better coach for my players. I knew without a doubt that Tincher was the best out there for female pitchers. I couldn’t wait to see more and introduce this to my players. What I really like about Tincher is the girls understand what their body is supposed to do and THEY know how to fix it. They don’t rely on their coach/parent to correct them.

I am very excited to be a part of this pitching community and help local pitchers in my area become more competitive.

Here is what Denny says about Blake: Patient, thoughtful, analytical, and kind, Blake also knows how to turn it up in order to challenge a kid.  She is incredibly studious, always asking questions, and determined to find the right answers for each student.  Her background at so many levels of softball gives her invaluable experience and we are thrilled to have her with us.
