Why Become an Instructor With Us?

Often a very successful former college pitcher will decide she wants to give back to the kids by becoming an Instructor. Hmmm, where does she start? There are a million questions. We hope she will contact us. This career is far too important to learn through failures.

In the past 6 years, we have put together some of the greatest minds in the business. Each contributes in special ways. Yes, our first focus is on development of students. On the surface that seems simple, until a former pitcher encounters a problem she never experienced, and has to help a young pitcher figure out how to get through it. What does it mean when the elbow hurts? (There can be 6-8 reasons, so we teach her how to narrow them down, which type of medical professional she might want to involve, and how to fix any mechanical issue that might be involved)
So, how do I fix the crowhop? (There are about 5 ways we address this issue, and it goes away immediately if the kid and parent dedicate themselves to the work)
What about other injuries? (Nobody in the world is even close to our organization in knowledge, experience, and the ability to bring injured kids back to the mound. You receive this training as part of your orientation)
Recently one of the greatest pitchers of all-time contacted us and joined the group. Why? She knew how she pitched, but did not know how to teach someone else. She threw some great pitches, but wanted to learn how to master some of those that were not as strong for her.
Her main concern was that we would dictate the way she taught, but she was excited to learn that she would be very involved in the evolution of our organization. Each member is a part of our research and development team, sharing new ideas and superior techniques to help kids achieve more quickly. You can feel free to ask questions and share exciting new ideas, as every member is sworn to confidentiality.
Jen Mineau had a record-setting college career and recently retired from playing professionally for the Akron Racers. Here is what she said about our group: “For a year, I combed through everything Denny put out on the internet, trying to figure out how it all worked. I knew what he did worked. This summer, I met another of his instructors, Nikki Thomas, and she put me in contact with him. I went to one clinic and I was HOOKED.
That weekend, I started incorporating all the things I learned from Tincher crew into my own motion. I pitched a double header that Sunday, and I WASN’T SORE the following day. I hadn’t pitched in months, yet my accuracy was better than it was in college, and my speed/movement was consistent. At that point, I was sold—lock stock and barrel.

Usually, at clinics taught with traditional styles, you have the top third of kids that walk out with improvements. Maybe 1-3 mph if they’re lucky, usually it’s less significant. The middle third are told to “go home and practice more, and maybe you’ll improve if you work hard enough.” Then there’s the bottom third, at which the instructors glance, shrug, and chalk their struggles up to non-athleticism.
With Fluid Dynamics, I have seen ZERO kids fall into that bottom third. Exactly ZERO kids have walked away from Fluid Dynamics without seeing immediate improvement (however small), or an immediate diagnosis of their problems. It’s amazing—if you teach girls a style that works with their bodies, THEY LEARN. They IMPROVE. And most importantly, they don’t hurt themselves!”
We have pros on staff who help you understand the unique strengths of the female body, how to put the power in the hips, and exactly what that means to the pitch. It is a foreign concept to many. If it speaks to you, you might just be one of us.
Pitcher development is our main focus, but our staff also includes Strength Trainers with advanced degrees, a Physical Therapist, an Accountant, a Marketing Professional, one Software Developer, and entrepreneurs in many different fields. Together, we can answer questions like setting up your LLC, negotiating cage fees, building your own facility, proper insurance, and how to build lesson plans.
We can help you with ideas on college recruiting, putting together successful events, and social media. Everything about the group is designed to help you spend less time on administrative things, and more time doing what you love; developing kids.
But, you have to bring a strong background to the table. You must contribute to the group in significant ways. In other words, you must have played in college, or have extensive coaching experience. We have a lot of parents, or people with little experience, who want to discuss Certification. For many reasons that will not work. Let your daughter work with one of our Certified Instructors, and perhaps after she finishes a great college career, we can talk.
Yes, we have much to offer, but you will completely control your own business. If you are a former college pitcher, get in touch with us, and let’s talk about ways you can contribute to the growth and knowledge base of a group that is changing the way America pitches.
