Kendra Pate

Waller, Texas

Kendra Pate grew up playing ball in the Greater Houston Area. As she grew, colleges noticed.  She started on a smaller level, “My freshman and sophomore year at Alvin Community college I trained under an amazing coach, Ken Delcambre.  I was named 1st team All Conference and team MVP. I later transferred to Nicholls State University. There wasn’t a pitching coach at Nicholls that year and my pitching suffered. It was that year that I understood the importance and impact my previous pitching coaches had made in my daily life.”

“In 1997 in my dorm room I made a vow to become the best mentor & pitching coach I could be. After college I coached 4 years with the Houston Power organization and founded MVP Pitching. 20 years later I have coached hundreds if not thousands of young pitchers, many who have received scholarships to play at the NCAA, NAIA & JUCO levels. In 2020 we built a 3,800 square foot facility next door to our home in Waller, TX. We have 3 boys, Jett, Steele and Beau. The journey of being a mom and being a coach hasn’t always been easy but I’ve never stopped believing this is what I was created to do. I am so very grateful for all of my former mentors and now especially to Tincher Pitching.”

Why did Kendra become interested in Tincher Pitching Development Systems?

“I am a learner, I have trained under many different pitching coaches all over the country. In 2016 I was doing research and ran across Tincher Pitching, so I called Denny.  I will never forget sitting in my office and Denny answering so many questions I had about the biomechanics of pitching.

I knew right away that I wanted to be part of this organization. We spoke in November and the following month I jumped on a plane to South Carolina for my first training. Training was far more advanced than the traditional pitching methods typically taught but I was encouraged by the success of the many students we taught that day. I am so grateful for Denny and many other Tincher Pitching instructors that have supported me through the years.  I have become a better coach since I joined this group and my students are benefitting from an amazing network of coaches around the country.”

Here is what Denny says about Kendra.  “Passion.  Pure and simple.  Kendra is constantly looking for ways to improve, to learn more, and to be the best that she can be.  She is constantly reading, doing research, and taking classes that she feels will help her improve.  The value of Instructors like that in our organization is…well..priceless”.
